The two first things I really knew about Dorothy were that she had taught French, I'm sure I remember her mentioning visiting France, and that they travelled in an RV half the year.
So, I tried ghosting French Script as a background, but it's not very visible, maybe a bit more in the grass area. I dry-embossed the frame with a stitched rectangle die, and added the Eiffel Tower and a camper (sorry, no RV). Added the sentiment and a couple of clouds, and will send this off to Erling tomorrow.

This is so touching. I was so sorry to hear about Dorothy passing as she was active here for a long time. I hope this brings a smile to her husband. I love the way you incorporated her teaching French and love of travel/camping in one card. Only a card-maker can make something to unique and special.
