This week, the Teaparty is for Carla's aka Covington Crafter, 2nd cousin, LeAnna. LeAnna's husband died in late January, leaving behind an 11 year old daughter, Abby, and an 8 year old son, Aric. We hope our paper hugs and cheerful thoughts bring lots of smiles. All the details are HERE
I have taken my inspiration from the "flower cookies" and LeAnna's love of gardening. I stamped the image (it is half of a huge flower) on various pieces from my mixed media background stash, cutting out many petals and slowly building up the size of the flower.
To make the card tactile for the kids, I added lots of liquid pearls and Stickles and mounted the flower on a textured background. I used the nifty photo corner tutorial foundHERE. I now have a proper excuse for keeping 1" squares of scraps LOL.
I hope you get a chance to join in and send some sunshine to LeAnna and the kids. Thanks for looking and please stay safe.

Thank you for such a wonderful challenge, Susie! It would be wonderful to see the faces of this sweet family as they open up this richly textured card. The colors are so beautiful and your photo corner is the perfect balance for your design.

I thought this sounded wonderful from your description, and it certainly is. Bright, sunny, happy. All those layers and the pearl texturing are fantastic.

I love this! I thought I had commented already, but I see I did not. Love the little hearts within the individual petals. Your corners look terrific. I like your idea to add the items that will make this tactile for the kids. This is a beauty, Susie!
