This weekend I visited my sister and saw a picture on her fridge that her grandson had done for her. It was on sun-sensitive paper. So I ended up having my 5 year old great nephew teaching me a new technique on a kind of paper I had never seen before. You place whatever image you want on the paper and then set it out in the sun for 3-5 minutes. Bring it in the house and submerge it in water for 1 minute. The chemicals react to the water somehow and what was bleached by the sun becomes dark and what was dark becomes white. Really cool stuff!

Several have asked about where to get this paper. My neice bought it at a store on the "Ave" in the University of Washington district in Seattle... She couldn't remember the name. Have googled "sun-sensitive paper" and came up with "The Oriental Trading Co." who sells it. Only problem with that is that shipping almost equals the cost of the paper. I'm going to check some of my local craft stores next time I'm there and see if they carry it.
