I liked the rich colors in this image here, but opted to choose just 3 of the colors since I needed to keep working on my holiday cards.
I finally got brave enough to try my new stamp from Penny Black. Using techniques that I learned from Jill Foster's Penny Black videos, I colored/inked directly onto the stamp, stamped with my MISTI several times adding color as I went, and then with a wet paintbrush moved the color around. Then I added more shading with either DI markers or zigs and then moved that ink a bit with a wet paintbrush also. When satisfied, I clear embossed the whole image (my stamp is still in my MISTI), which allowed me to sponge my bg. Then I stamped my sentiment and splattered with white acrylic paint for my "snow" effect. Love this technique.

Bestill my heart Maura- this is one gorgeous Christmas card my friend. You put a lot of your heart and soul into this card and it shows. Hopefully, whoever receives this gorgeous piece of art from you puts it right into a frame to enjoy for many years to come. ~Karen.
