I liked the rich colors in this image here, but opted to choose just 3 of the colors since I needed to keep working on my holiday cards.
I finally got brave enough to try my new stamp from Penny Black. Using techniques that I learned from Jill Foster's Penny Black videos, I colored/inked directly onto the stamp, stamped with my MISTI several times adding color as I went, and then with a wet paintbrush moved the color around. Then I added more shading with either DI markers or zigs and then moved that ink a bit with a wet paintbrush also. When satisfied, I clear embossed the whole image (my stamp is still in my MISTI), which allowed me to sponge my bg. Then I stamped my sentiment and splattered with white acrylic paint for my "snow" effect. Love this technique.

Wowza ... you rocked those techniques ... your splatter is perfect (I'm always scared to splatter and mess-up all of my hard work) ... FAN-tastic inspired card.

I just love this stamp Maura and I also love how you have done this. The colours are beautifully vibrant and the blue background makes the image just pop off the card. Exquisitely done ... I loved my card so much that I had this years postage stamps made using that card.
