Dripped reinkers on mixed media paper and sprayed with water. After it dried, sponged on more color. Once again, trying for a Susie background. Found legs on the internet along with shoes and a soccer ball. Colored the bird and cut him out. Printed the legs and shoes, colored and fussy cut. Stamped the bird on the background and added the fussy cut pieces and added the shoe laces. Then stamped the Jofy stamps and PB branches and painted with Cosmic paint. So surprised that these shiny paints are opaque and do a great job coloring over black embossing! This was so fun to do but found out the little guy this is for no longer plays soccer but is into football instead. Thanks for looking!

I am just speechless Nancy....THIS IS SOOOO AWESOME! The bird is colored beautifully and seems to glow. The legs, shoes, and laces are marvelous. The bg and plants are perfection....I would keep going but I am all out of adjectives. Pinned and faved.

You are simply amazing, Nancy. There are so many fun and wonderful skills involved with crafting this card. Love the slight sense of stencil in the bg, your crafty little bird and those very special work boots (shoes) with the soccer ball. Someone will truly be delighted with this work of art that combines fun and technique that is masterfully applied to paper.

Love the mixed media background - such a wonderful collage of texture-looking elements!! I agree with Rita that you have your own style of adding "doo-hickeys, vines and doodles" and you can tell that Susie has spurred you on to try different ways of adding these things! Certainly a fantastic card - one you can be proud to call your own - a shame the little guy does not play soccer anymore, but I bet he loves it anyway!!

Gorgeous. I like that you found the legs and tied up laces. I had to read how you found the legs and lo and behold it wasn't a stamp. You're one smart cookie. I have these birds and accessories and they have been sitting on my desk for over six months. They intimidate me and I don't think I'll do them justice.
