It's getting a little challenging to make anniversary cards for my hubby, but I think this one will be a fun surprise for him. He is a firmly entrenched Trekkie, so he will totally understand the references on this card.
I started by cutting out a circle frame with two circle dies nested together. I then drew the asymmetrical triangle shape and cut it out with scissors. I pulled out some sprays and just went to town with all the different colors of blue and green and white. I wanted a space/galaxy/universe kind of feel on this Star Trek icon instead of the familiar silver and gold emblem.
While this piece dried, I cut out the letters for the word "imzadi" from white cardstock. (Imzadi is a Betazed word for "my beloved" - perfect for an anniversary card, don't you think?) I decided I didn't like the white letters nor the white card base, so I colored over them with a silver Sharpie marker.

The only things I know about Star Trek I learned from Sheldon... I'm sure your DH will love this. Pretty awesome for you to make this so special and personal.

Now this is one incredible card, Holly. Those colors are gorgeous together no doubt. I've got to think this is the card of all cards for a trekkie guy. He'll take one look at it and the rest is history. Totally cool anniversary.
