Ally, you brought us a great sketch today! Thank you.
Isn't it fun when you look at a sketch and you know exactly how you want to proceed? It was the mistletoe sprig that I saw when Ally published the SC. I stamped the Hero Art's Clear image onto Basic Grey DP and then embossed it with Sea Foam ep. Then I fussy cut the sprig. The large circle is scalloped instead of the second panel. I just love the DP from a long since discontinued paper group, 'Mistletoe & Pear'. The little red breasted bird steals the scene. Inked the sentiment on clear acetate from packaging, die cut the rectangle. The snowflake is from Tim Holtz's snowflake die cut. It was fancied up with a pearl brad and snippet of trim...and the few sequins finish the sketch.
It's been fun this last week to hit a few of the Splitcoast Challenges...we have such an awesome community that has been built over time. Thanks to everyone who missed me, welcomed me back, and sent me cards, prayers, and love during my recovery. Thanks for stopping by.

That bird really does steal the scene. I really like the sentiment stamped on the acetate (packaging!), and the sprig you fussy cut. You know, Susan, the reason we are so glad to see you back is that you have recovered, and you share your warmth with all of us in your art work and kind comments! Hugs.

You really rocked this challenge Susan ... I found it a bit tricky! I watch my Robin every morning as I have a cuppa in bed, so tomorrow I will think of your beautiful creation.

Luv this, Susan! It is great when you know just what you want to do with a sketch - almost never happens for me. Great color and yes the beautiful bird does steal the show.

What recovery? I'm sorry I didn't know. Does today's card mean you'll be back for awhile? It's so nice to see a familiar name in the gallery, Susan. I love all the white space and your gifted talent to make something spectacular out of something so small. It's really so crisp and clean. Hope all is well with you and your boys.

Gorgeous, Susan! I love every single element. Especially the bird...looks a lot like the rose-breasted grosbeaks we have around here, especially in the spring.
