This is for Lydia's fun mixed media challenge - we are sending get well wishes to Alison in New York. Alison is one of the very special people that makes the magic happen behind the scene here at SCS. I hope the magic of Miss Krazy Kardashian puts a smile on Alison's face. A get well message is written on the back along with a little magnet.
The background started out life as an A4 piece of cardstock. Start with Dylsuions Ink sprays (spray onto aluminium foil, squirt on a bucket load of water and dunk cardstock in it). Now do a few smacks on the foil with distress inks, squirt on water, dunk cardstock in inky puddle. Using the same piece of foil, dribble some Izink on the foil and squirt on a lot more water. Lay the cardstock over the Izink. Izink is really thick so you might need to firmly bang your hand on the cardstock to get the colour to take. The white part in the top righthand corner is a good example of where the colour didn't adhere so well, but I liked the look so I left it.
Once cardstock was air dried, I cut a 4" wide panel for this project. The remaining cardstock goes straight into my stash for another day.
Miss Kardashian was stamped on a piece of mixed media card from my stash. Her hat and handbag are stamps from an Art Deco stamp set by Creative Stamping - fussy cut and add liquid pearls and white paint pen. The shoes are knock-off Unity boots, slightly modified.
Normal leggins' were never going to work with this outfit, so fishnet stockings were created. I stamped a Prima fishnet stamp onto a scrap of cardstock using StazOn gothic purple ink, then lightly swished a foam blender containing traces of walnut stain distress ink to take the harsh white look away. Using a piece of acetate packaging, I drew the shape of the legs I wanted to make sure they would look ok. Lay the acetate over the fishnet cardstock and cut out the shape.
Add background stamping - the city skyline is a RAK from sweet Kathleen Lammie. The water drops are hand-drawn using my favourite ever MM challenge, Lydia's MIX105 here. The doohickies and doodled border were added befor adhering Miss Kardashian to the card.
I had heaps of fun making this, but I couldn't get a good photograph, it is much brigher in real life. Thank you for looking.
EDIT: After reading Ellen's (Eager Beaver) comments and laughing until I leaked, I can see that Miss Kardashian's leg is upside down LOL.

OMWord Susie! Where do I begin?? Ok, well first, I love your bg like always, the part that would not take the ink looks like she is walking into the light of a street light, perfect! Love your doohickies and water drops!!
Now your your bird, She is way bold and posh your "chic" with those fishnets, OMGosh that is cute! and who cares if one leg got put on backward...just adds to her fantastic character. She is just a knobby kneed fashionista (her legs remind me of Twiggy a bit...remember her? She made EVERYONE look fat!)
Your hat that you made with the pearl trim is fantastic, the purse and boots...Oh my! I absolutely love the vest, lace skirt and pearl necklace!! You dressed her to kill (well not literally of course)!
This card would brighten ANYONE'S day!! Putting a magnet on the back is brilliant! Now she can put it up on the frig!
I love your creations!

Susie, you have outdone yourself with this one! It's FABULOUS! I could write a book, but instead I'll just tell you I love EVERYTHING about this - particularly the stockings and lace!

Wow, Susie - love this elegant Miss Kardashian, prancing along 5th Avenue in her fishnet stockings (and on HAND DRAWN LEGS, no less!!!) - your S&S technique is a shining example of your creative genius, but when you let loose and start the doodles and doohickeys in the corners, it looks like the fancy Miss K. has wandered over into Central Park!! Boy will this card score a hit with Alison!! Awesome work!!

Oh, sis, this is hilarious! I absolutely love reading your descriptions, and the process is priceless! I agree with Ellen that someone should take movies of you S&Sing! Hehe! This is amazing, and Allison will love it! And I didn't realize the Kardashians were big in Australia! Hugs, sweet sis! You are a gift to SCS! Love you xoxo
