This card fits 2 challenges - the F4A and the MIX (I think!) I colored my image and paper pieced her dress, then fussy cut her out. I tore the top edge and CAREFULLY burnt along the top edges of the card, but without setting the house on fire, I could not get enough brown at the top, so I sponged some brown on and added stickles to make it look like fire. Popped my lady up on dimensionals - really easy - I have done this card similarly before, but never tried to burn the top like I did today. Inside says "Might not be such a good idea"! Poor Clara doesn't realize her hat and the top of this card are both on fire due to all the candles on her cake. I giggled the whole time I was making this - hope you do too!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Holy smokes, Sue. Did you burn the house down with this one? How wonderfully fun and creative your card is. I could never have thought to do that in a million years. I love the gingham, the image and the best part is looking at the 'damage' caused by that fruitcake.

I really got a good laugh when I saw that you had burnt the top part of your card...I can just see you doing it, trying not to burn yourself or your house down...lol. At any rate, very creative!
