Joanne(sleepyinseattle) is the Queen for the Day this week. She creates really wonderful cards as seen in her extensive gallery. Joanne is also a very active participant here on SCS and leaves so many encouraging and complimentary comments on others cards. That all goes into the making of a Queen.
The F4A challenge from Wendy was to use the color wheel and use opposite(complementary colors). Using true hues in this manner can sometimes be rather jarring, so I dulled down my teal(blue green) to go with my red-orange.
I used this color scheme...with added neutrals..to CASE THIS CARD of Joanne's. I did take it down to a little more "bare bones", changed the color scheme and image. I also used a paper knot instead of a fabric bow.
Congratulations, Joanne. Enjoy your reign!

Wonderful job, Sallie, with both challenges. I love the koi and the added texture with the embossing .

Love how you rock and rolled the koi on this card and complemented them so well with the contrasting colors on the kraft - striking combo and love the layout!!
