Joanne(sleepyinseattle) is the Queen for the Day this week. She creates really wonderful cards as seen in her extensive gallery. Joanne is also a very active participant here on SCS and leaves so many encouraging and complimentary comments on others cards. That all goes into the making of a Queen.
The F4A challenge from Wendy was to use the color wheel and use opposite(complementary colors). Using true hues in this manner can sometimes be rather jarring, so I dulled down my teal(blue green) to go with my red-orange.
I used this color scheme...with added neutrals..to CASE THIS CARD of Joanne's. I did take it down to a little more "bare bones", changed the color scheme and image. I also used a paper knot instead of a fabric bow.
Congratulations, Joanne. Enjoy your reign!

Neat job with your inspiration. Love the simple look of this and the colors. Great looking fish! Love your paper knot. I don't often remember to do that, and it's harder to work with than real ribbon. I love the layered colors of your circle.

Sallie, I love the perfect balance of this clean Asian design. I love Asian style and our dining and living rooms are decorated that way. Your koi are so pretty in the yellow and orange and I loved the tangerine and turquoise blue together. So gorgeous.
Thanks so much for honoring me today with your beautiful card!
Hugs,
Joanne
