This is for today's inspiration challenge over at the Barbie Collectors website and also in honor of Pam, our Queen, this week! Pam, you have such beautiful cards, I loved looking through your gallery, and you certainly seem like a lot of fun too! Here's the card which I chose: A Snowy Cardinal Christmas by pam124 at Splitcoaststampers
Then over on the Barbie website I was inspired by this Barbie: http://www.barbiecollector.com/shop/...arbie-174-doll
Look at those colors, described as "peppermint", but can anyone familiar with SU, not look at that dress and think "cherry cobbler"!!! As soon as I saw it, I wanted to run and make a card in cherry cobbler and white, so that's where I headed with this one.
I kept Pam's lovely layout, except I embossed the back panels instead of using dp, and framed them in black and cherry cobbler. I used a Hero Arts text bg stamp on a Nesties rectangle while still in the die and framed that in black. I then used SU markers to stamp the bird and branch (Memory Box), making an extra bird to pop up. That's also cut out with a Nesties rectangle. I added some cherry cobbler ribbon to finish.

Very nice card, clean lined & elegant. I expecially like the way you used the text in the backround. I am not a fan of red, but this card is changes my mind, it's perfect!

Bridget, what a beautiful and peaceful looking card! Just love how you embossed BOTH back panels and then really LOVE the way you did the text BG while still IN the nestie!! (Making a mental note of that trick, thank you)
I know what you mean about that delicious Cherry Cobbler - ME TOO!! Love the Satin ribbon to finish it off!!
Fabulous case to honor our Pamzi this week !
