This is for today's inspiration challenge over at the Barbie Collectors website and also in honor of Pam, our Queen, this week! Pam, you have such beautiful cards, I loved looking through your gallery, and you certainly seem like a lot of fun too! Here's the card which I chose: A Snowy Cardinal Christmas by pam124 at Splitcoaststampers
Then over on the Barbie website I was inspired by this Barbie: http://www.barbiecollector.com/shop/...arbie-174-doll
Look at those colors, described as "peppermint", but can anyone familiar with SU, not look at that dress and think "cherry cobbler"!!! As soon as I saw it, I wanted to run and make a card in cherry cobbler and white, so that's where I headed with this one.
I kept Pam's lovely layout, except I embossed the back panels instead of using dp, and framed them in black and cherry cobbler. I used a Hero Arts text bg stamp on a Nesties rectangle while still in the die and framed that in black. I then used SU markers to stamp the bird and branch (Memory Box), making an extra bird to pop up. That's also cut out with a Nesties rectangle. I added some cherry cobbler ribbon to finish.
If you've never participated in the fun QFTD challenge, Queen for the Day, you can find out about it here: QFTD44 ... and the winner is .... by marilynprestonn at Splitcoaststampers

This is beautiful! I love the stamped BG & the embossed one. They work so well together. It's so CAS yet there's still so much too see. You should enter this in Sugar Creek Hollow's weekly challenge. This week it's B&W with a splash of color. http://sugarcreekhollow.blogspot.com/
