This week's Teapot Challenge is taking us to Kentucky a little ahead of the derby. Who knows what we'll be racing, or wearing.... or throwing!
Not having a horse stamp, it was a stroke of luck that my son got a letter delivered to our house this week with a postage stamp that had a horse on it. Not just any horse but Seabiscuit. Now Seabiscuit may not have won the Kentucky Derby in his time, but I'm sure if given the chance, he would have liked to try again.
See that Kentucky blue grass in the background? I heard that there's a ban on lawnmowers at the track - they're scaring the horses with all that noise. Track officials are opting to go the natural route with animal lawn care, so don't be surprised if you see lots of different animals showing up at the Tea Party this week. We'll be drinking tea and they'll be chomping grass. Wait a minute, that might be even scarier. Oh well, it'll be fun for sure!

Lorraine, perfection girl! Seabiscuit even! Can't beat that! Now, 'bout that lawn, what kinda critters are we talkin' 'bout? Bonnie has some mules that need to earn their keep, lessen they become uh....'tacos'. Yeah, skerry! What a beautiful card, from a postage stamp! You rock! Ingenuity plus! Love it!

Lucky you to get to use that postage stamp featuring Seabiscuit. And, those grasses are getting a bit tall so those animals better get to chomping...and quick. Nice horse charm and a fun AND pretty card.

I love your creativity. What a really neat card. Did you ever read the book Seabiscuit? It was a great book that really taught me alot about horse racing. Great card.
