Thanks for the great limited challenge today, Silvia. I'm not much of a blue girl...but it seemed to be exactly the color I needed today.
I always feel inadequate with sorrow cards. As I've said before, I usually do not use designs that fold, because I never know what to say, letting the front convey my feelings that have no words. I did know I wanted to use wings, carried on angels' wings, under HIS wings, flying, lightness...sky blue...heaven bound. So I returned to Technique Tuesday's wonderful wings in their Skin Deep set of clear acrylic. I stamped them on GP white cs with Brilliance moonlight white and embossed with Kaleidoscope, cut at various points. I tore the edge by hand and added the mat from MM autumn pack a color called 'dark'. My eyelet is a white star in the middle of the wings. The scripture is from Stampendous. It is inked in VersaMagic 'agean blue' onto Wild Asparagus paper, baby boy vine. I stamped the edge with Fancy Pants in the garden border, using ChalkBox french blue. The hearts are also from the Fancy Pants set...inked with ChalkBox lavender. Intertwined...connected always. The crown is again from the Skin Deep Technique Tuesday set. I used the Brilliance pearlescent sky blue for it. I added a beautiful piece of runched ribbon and mounted the panel on a shimmery blue cs. The edges of my wings are sponged with various shades of blue.
My heart is so heavy for my SCS friend. How tender are the threads we have that connect us all. Each word we type, each comment we make, each message we send, tie us together with cords that are unbreakable. We may never meet on this earth, but hope springs eternal.
Have a wonderful weekend...thank you so much for the time you give to me in your comments.

How very touching and beautiful, Susan. the blue with the lovely angel's wings is so perfectly appropriate. The wonderful ribbon, the hearts and crown send a message all their own. The sentiment says it better than any of us could imagine...this card is so comforting. You are a genius in your artistry!! Thanks for sharing this piece with all of us.

Susan, this is so gorgeous! I love this verse....just thinking of hiding in the refuge of His wings does give Hope! I love all the rich symbolism you've used here, the beautiful heavenly blue, and the gorgeous ribbon! Not only your card, but your tender words! I know Vicky is so grateful for the support of this online *family!*

Your card leaped off the page for me. It is such a beautiful card. The Psalm is so perfect, and the colouring with those wings make it such a comforting, soothing card. I just love the beautiful ribbon too.
