It's been over 4 months since I've made a card and I decided that the FS challenge is a good way to get back into stamping. I chose Julie's Make Merry card, using the same tree dies, but used leafing on mine and a smooshed watercolor BG. The BG was done with distress inks, peacock feathers and seedless preserves, on watercolor paper. The trees were cut from kraft cardstock and the leafing applied, (that's a loose term for the MESS I made, as I have leafing particles everywhere)! There must be a better way to get them stuck on what you want. I cut a frame from kraft, also, as a way to ground the trees. Here's Julie's pretty card that inspired me.

Now I feel doubly honored to be the featured stamper for your comeback card! I LOVE the colors in the background that are a gorgeous contrast to the leafing colors on the trees. The frame is ideal. Sue, thank you so much for your inspired card.

I don't think anything looks messy with your leafing. I absolutely love all that color and texture on the die cut trees. I don't know what product you used for leafing. Would you share?

Oh Sue! hope you were just taking a break and not feeling poorly? Welcome back! LOVE the fall color sparkly bits on your trees and the beautiful background!

I suppose you've used foil flakes and I use them too and I make it a big mess too, and the worst they don't adhere where I want but stick where I don't want!!
Your final product looks super!! it looks like decorated with shiny garlands or lights.
Glad to see you back in the gallery!!

You may have made a mess on your work area, but certainly Not on your gorgeous foil leafing, Sue. I am so happy you made your permanent move and can now set up your permanent stamping room:-) Thank you for sharing, my friend. Hugs...Nancy
