I made this for LSC175, Happy 4th.
We don't really do the 4th July in Ireland, although one year one of your big aircraft carriers was in port here and there were big celebrations. So I have used the same colours for a card that would be suitable for Bastille Day on the 14th July.
4 or less layers - yes, even if you count the chipboard!
Mostly blue, white and red - yes
Only 4 embellishments or specialist tools - no tools, chipboard, floss, Primas and an eyelet... Oh - I had to use the Crop-a-Dile to set the eyelet, but I could have used a brad and then I wouldn't have needed it.
I plaited blue, white and red embroidery cotton to make the little swirl under the Primas.

I think this is delightful! That little bird looks like he is ready for a party! Thanks so much for playing!
I was just in Ireland at the end of May for 11 days. I just loved it and can hardly wait to come back! (Northern part of Ireland and then Northern Ireland)

Thanks for celebrating the 4th with us. I love your little French bird. I hope to hoist a glass of some vino to celebrate the holiday along with him. Love the idea to braid the floss. I haven't heard the word plait in so long. In elementary school my best friend's parents were from Ireland. Mrs. Hanlon used the word plait. Thanks for the memories of my old friends.
