A student I had in my class all year wanted to get me a gift and dragged his Mom to the scrapbooking dept. in WM because he just knew that I would love some scrapbooking paper! For a 6 year old, I thought he was pretty observant! So this is what I came up with. I used my Canvas BG with creamy carmel ink but it was wayyyyy too dark. So I had to put vellum over top to tone it down. My demo showed me a card she made overlapping two scallop circles so I had to case that idea.

How sweet that one of the students caught on to your passion for creating beautiful cards... Turned out great!

awww what a sweetie! And yes, very observant for a 6 yr old and a boy at that! Very pretty card, and great idea using the vellum to tone it down a bit. It's perfect.
