My friend lost her dog of 15 years, a wonderful golden retriever. So, tonight I painted the most beautiful dog I could for Jill in memory of her beloved pet.
I used the ink from the ink pads. The dog was colored in More Marigold, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa. I spritzed the paper with water before painting. The sky is Soft Sky, Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose. The ground is Close to Cocoa, River Rock and Garden Green.
The dog is from the recent MFT release, Gone to the Dogs, and the sky and ground is just painted . The dog tag is from Friends Furever. The Sorry sentiment says it all.
I love watercolor and although I have a long way to go, I enjoyed every minute of creating this card. Thanks for looking and commenting.

oh Kathy, I'd send (((hugs))) to your friend...but you've created a card that will warm her heart and bring comfort. Your dog is beautiful in coloring and style...I like the bones on the border and the big sorry is just the perfect touch. Your friend will be so very blessed by your thoughtfulness.

You've created such a beautiful card, Kathy. I know your friend will treasure it and the love that went into the making of it. I dread the time when we lose our lovely dog. I think your colouring is wonderful and the bone tag is the perfect touch.

OMGosh Kathy, this is awesome, what a beautiful job of coloring. So sorry for Jill, pets become family members the longer they are with us and it can be such a devastation. Glad she has friends like you to help get her through it.

This is such a wonderful testimony to how precious a 15 yo golden must have become to Jill and her family. Your card is just beautiful. I know it will bring tears to her eyes initially, but when she's able to dry those tears, she'll be able to sit back and really reflect on the love that went into your card.

What a good friend you are. This is a wonderful card, and the watercoloring is just gorgeous, but the thought is most precious. Tell your friend how sorry I am, I too lost my little guy of seventeen years so know a little about losing a valued pet.
