The Tulip was stamped twice in versafine, water coloured with distress inks and H20s (which don't show up in the pic but are there).
I cut out one whole flower and one of just the petals, layered them with foam tape over the background of blue and lime card which was put through the distressed stripes embossing folder and the green portion cut with a wavy edge blade.
I added stickles to the flower, a piece of card for the sentiment, rub on letters, buttons and gingham ribbon and then doodled around the edges.
Just realised, after upload that I left the h out of birthday, what a numbskull! Will have to correct that before I forget and send it LOL! TFL

Wowsers! This is the best ever! Love the double colored cb'd paper with the wavy edge. Really love your coloring and what you used to color it with. Your cutting out and paper toling is the best ever. Love the stickles, buttons and those dots! Does the sharpie marker stay bright? Chris, this is a fantastic card. Glad I got to see it. :0)

Oh, Ill be happy to accept it just the way it is, Chris. I can easily overlook the missing H. Plus, you dont need to call yourself names! Silly girl! I love your card. Your colors are sensational and your design is stellar. Fabulous card, Chris.

Chris I love your card , but I am killing myself laughing about your comment that you have left out the h in birthday!! I must link you up with a card that I made for an LSC challenge sometime ago... you had to use non traditional embellishments. You'll just love the way I spelled VEGETARIAN..
and.. I didn't even notice til several days later!!
As for your card.. it's just lovely!! Such bold and lovely colours - I love the two coloured distressed stripes - and your colouring on your flower is just gorgeous!! Beautiful work Chris!
