 | | Thanks for a great sketch and one that specifically requested that we do something different! We were asked to create something metallic using Stef's greatest calalog as our source of inspiration.
All righty then, metallic it is, Stef! I started with basic bazzill black and then added The Paper Company’s "metallic white linen weave paper”. From there, I only got myself all screwed, as usual, and decided I would attempt the faux metal technique. After numerous failed attempts, I decided I was just going use the horribly blemished gold embossed faux metallic cs I created for the gold layer. Then, not having failed or fallen hard enough, I decided I would use gold and silver metallic embossing on the butterflies. Oh yeah, I’m thinking only to myself, why not try some of that stuff I bought yesterday: Feuille Silver Metallic. …..so that’s what you’ll find on the bottom edge of the top layer underneath the butterflies. So there’s a little gold and there’s a little silver metallic powders mixed in with the Feuille metallic technique.
Okay then, having said all this, I sure hope it meets today’s challenge requirements.
TFL everyone! |
