Whew!!! I finally got to play this afternoon, late as it is. I watched my 20 month old great nephew today and boy did we have fun! I have adult children, so having a little one for the day was so special.
Now for this card...my friends and I took a shopping trip to a stamp store up north and we found this little gem of a pickup. We saw the idea board for it and that was all it took. We each got this stamp!! As I have said before, a man's card is always a challenge for me...no frills, bling, or flowers... So when I saw this card it was perfect.
I stamped the image in Versamark, then embossed in black. Colored in using SU Watercolor Crayons, used Christmas red sticklers for the taillights, and shaded in the window and then applied Crystal Effects for a clear "Window" look.
For the background images I used Writer Markers on the Lovely As A Tree row of trees and then used a SBJ for the grass. Sponged in the dirt and sky.
I then slit the tailgate and made the "Birthday Wishes" tag to slip into the slot ( as seen in the second image).
I am really happy with how this turned out for never having used this stamp before...except I should have centered "DAD" a little bit better! Darn! LOL! I don't think my dad will mind though!
Have a good evening and TFL!

I love this tailend of the truck. Such a wonderful card for a dad. You coloring is wonderful. Love the stickles on the tail lights. The sentiment adds great dimension. Very nice card.
