What a fun challenge this was! I just saw a tutorial online for reusing aluminum cans and punching them. Great part about this is it really sharpens your punches too!
Tutorial is here: http://sbl.tvweekly.com/player.php?a...024935656z6680
So I started with my 5-petal punch on a can, Then to attach it to the card, I used some ribbon scraps I had. I found a BG paper that complimented the punch. Using an embossing marker, I outlined a few of the flowers on the DP and embossed with silver EP. The {love you} is a rub-on.
Final doodle-dots were added with my silver signo pen. I hope you can see all the shimmer in the picture - it was hard to capture with the camera.

This is awesome! Not only are you showcasing a new technique, your card is overall beautiful. Love your choice of DP and all the shimmer you added to it. Kathy

I absolutely love this idea, but was wondering isn't the aluminum sharp? I wouldn't want anyone to hurt themselves by my card.

The actual punched flowers aren't sharp enough to hurt anyone - but you have to be careful cutting the can. It's the rough edges that will get you.
