I am admitting it up front....I am a complete dork! This card was made for SC175- awesome sketch- and LSC167- NO stamps! This card is also for Oliver's birthday- Oliver is my friend Beth's dachshund. Yes, I actually made a birthday card for a dog....my husband thinks I'm crazy!
I had really been wanting to use this sketch, it is so different and eye-catching. When I saw LSC167, I immediately thought of some cute Cuttlebug embossing folders that I have, and I thought that it would be perfect with the sketch!
The main doggy image is from Provo Crafts and is an embossing folder. I embossed it in watercolor paper and colored it using my SU! markers and the Watercoloring with Markers technique. Here is a link to the tutorial: Watercoloring With Markers Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I added the grass at the bottom of the image with SU! markers. I matted with the main panel with close to cocoa, wild wasabi, and ballet blue cs. The dp in the half circle panels is from DCWV doggy scrapbook pack (from last year), they are matted with wild wasabi and ballet blue cs. The large bg panel is close to cocoa and is matted with wild wasabi and ballet blue. Oliver's name is spelled with stickers from the DCWV doggy scrapbook pack. The little gift at the bottom is an embellishment that I have had in my drawer for a long time and finally found a use for.
This was a really quick card, and I think my friend will get a kick out of it! Thanks for looking!

wow, I would love to receive a card for my dog. This is great and great of you, too! I love how you blended the challenges together: each challenge is done to perfection and together they make one very special card!
