Here's the scrapbook page I chose as my inspiration for IC126. This is a page out of my scrapbook of my cross stitch projects (yes, I am prolific enough to warrant an entire 8x8 scrapbook of just cross stitch projects, one to a page...actually, the current book is almost full). All the pages are the same format but all different colors and patterned papers to go with the stitched project.
This was the first peacock that I stitched for my mom; haven't done the scrapbook page for the second one yet. I have several projects I haven't scrapped yet, it's been a while since I added to this album. Anyway, the patterned paper is *really* vibrant, so I layered on a piece of vellum to tone it down a little so that it wouldn't compete so much with the picture.

What a cool way to show off your projects! I should do this with my album of crochet afghans and other projects! Love how you toned down the dp with the vellum layer!

Very pretty. When I used to cross stitch I never thought of photoing my projects. I still love the craft but my eyes fail me at my favorite 14 ct. fabric. Anyway, what a great gift for your mom and a way to display your projects.

Wow ... aren't you a multi-talented lady ... what a fabulous gift. I have a cross-stitched piece from my mom that is one of my most treasured pieces ... I'm sure your mom feels the same way.

What a beautiful gift for you DM, I use to do Petitpoint but alas it requires perfect vision. As the vision went I regressed, first to stitching, then crossstitching and last hooking. Now I do cards "my passion". I think that your peacock is beautiful and that the vellum worked perfectly to tone down the DP.
