This is my prototype for a HM technique swap for Jlazarski (aka Jessica)'s swap. I do not subscribe to the Technique Junkies' newsletters, but I have seen this all over SCS. I thought it has to be close to GinaK's faux wood technique, so I gave it a try. I think it looks pretty close to denim to me.
The image was pretty big, so I cut it down. It is called Pocket Fuzz from House Mouse/Stampabilities. It was sent to me from a WishRAK friend LuvLee (Lee). I then cut it with my oval-shaped coluzzle plate and fit it in the largest scalloped oval (small set). I reused some pretty tissue paper from Kristi (HannaStamps) for the top, because it reminded me of a pretty bandana. The loopy ribbon in the middle was from a friend, too, but I can't recall who (?Jane my bloggin sister). The little tag at the bottom is Heirloom textured grungeboard from SusieQ4417 (aka Susan) from my secret Spring package.
After taking the picture, I think I may add a dark blue border around the edge to make the other layers pop out a bit. Any other suggestions, please let me know what you think. I am definitely open for suggestions. I feel like it needs something more, just not sure what. Maybe a charm?
TFL!

Kelly -- this is too cute! I love how you reused the tissue paper; it goes perfectly with denim. And only using a portion of the image is great for showing off your technique!
