Don't you just love it when you have a head start on a challenge? I found myself right there tonight when JoLynn announced the flap fold card. Though I have to say mine is just a tadmore!
I've wanted to make my mom a purse ever since I made "this is where it all began" which you can peruse in my gallery if you are curious...I can think of so many applications for this template from Dejaviews. So tonight I began working on her special mother's day purse!
My paper is the ever cool MME new 29th ST Market fresh beauty 'perfect posies/greenery paper. double sided solves a lot of challenges! Inside there are nine pages of creative opportunities! I am not finished with it, but wanted to post the outside. I used vintage buttons to make the closure on the front...one a shantung silk green and the other aqua pearlized plastic. I used chenille cord to wrap figure 8 style around.
My mom's the most stylish lady I know even in her seventies...she wouldn't think of going out the door with out matching her entire ensemble...I think I just might give her a reason to go shopping! She'll definitely need a new dress to go with this purse.

How thoughtful!! Thanks for telling us about your mom. It sounds like she will love this. Thanks for playing and showing a great alternative to the circle flap. Very pretty!
