I love both the IC challenge from yesterday and today's featured stamper. So, this is my combined card based on the color and theme of the IC quilt and the layout and arrangement of Paris' wonderful card sassy squares by parisotremba at Splitcoaststampers
I kept her layout but changed the stamps, the colors, added a couple more layers and added a separate sentiment instead of just stamping on the front.
You may (or may not) be wondering about the title. Let me explain. As I worked on this, I was reminded that good emery boards are my friend. I am severely craft knife impaired. It's only taken me 10 yrs to show marginal improvement. That's why the emery board; to smooth out the uneven edges. Maybe someday I'll ride w/o the training wheels, but today is not that day.
What I did: sorta the same as Paris w/ the squares, but I used 3 sizes of punches. I used the Swiss dots CB folder on the large white sq. The middle plaid sq, I used the Kpad and a small stripes stamp (DRS) to make the plaid. I put drywall mesh behind mine as did Paris. And used a ribbon across the top.
The craft knife came in when I had to cut out the inside of the sentiment oval so I could layer a green frame on top of the white. The whole thing is layered onto white then a green card. Added a little stickles to the centers and dots w/ the glaze pens. TFL.
