there has been alot of buzz on stampin'up! discussion board about my file system for my stamps so i thought i would add it here. i have a file folder and in that folder i have all of my stamp sets stamped on a piece of paper. and for each stamp set i gave it a number. so when i am looking for a certain flower or sentiment i only have to look thru the folder. find which number it is and go to the shelf and pull the appropriate set from that shelve. it works very good for me. and the key thing is to PUT THE STAMP AWAY WHEN YOU ARE DONE . before i had stamp sets everywhere and didn't know which one i wanted to use so i would go thru them all. i had stuff everywhere lol. now everything has it's place.

I also have been using this system for organizing my sets. It was crazy before with 100+ sets, they were a mess, my whole room was a mess.
I also write on each individual stamp the # of the set it goes to, that way if I pull out 3 stamps from different sets, I will remember which set to put in back into. i.e. heart from set#42, star from set#81, flower from set #20, and so on. I just used a black sharpie and wrote the number on one end of the wood.

Wow, I like your system. Maybe when I retire I can get myself organized.
