This is my combined challenges card. I love Roxie's great sketch, though I did have to flip it to make it work. And Michele's music inspired challenge. This was inspired by the song "Calendar Girl" and the name of the main image stamp is just that.
This would have been finished yesterday but we've had all kinds of water problems. Has the moon been in Pisces or something? Frozen water in the fridge, loose connection under the sink. Had to stop yesterday to clean up the water under the sink. Waited on the fridge repair guy all day. Besides the frozen water, all the veggies in the veg bin keep freezing. Found out a few things. No one likes carrot popsicles, the parrots do not like frozen corn and Iceberg lettuce takes on a whole new meaning.
But I digress. Calendar girl was stamped once w/ black onto white c/s and multiple times w/ rouge ink across the front of the pink card. The white image was colored w/ pencils (a la gamasol magic) and cut out. She's popped up on a couple of cb layers and finally on a piece of pale pink vellum which was also bugged. This was edged w/ the green Galaxy marker then dotted w/ black glaze pen.
The lower rectangle is simple: 1 green bugged panel on a rose then black panels. I left a little space on the bottom of the black layer and added a couple of strips that were trimmed off the other layers. More black glaze dots.
The March kite was done the same as the girl and is on foam tape, also. The little month and day were cut out of the white image, colored and added to the corresponding places on the card front. TFL
