This is such a great color combo and I missed doing the featured stamper on Sunday, so I combined the two. I love Mary Jo's gallery and this card in particular just really spoke to me: from a HUGE garden by mary jo albright at Splitcoaststampers
Of course it's hardly recognizable now, but that is what I cased. I just loved the out of the box frame things she had going. I changed the stamps, the colors and the theme but kept her layout and frame boxes.
To me, these colors looked like they'd make a great guy card and I happen to need a bday card for my BIL. He's such an old car buff, I thought this would be perfect. He has maybe four old cars. Two are sorta classic, two are just old. I think he'd still be driving the beat up Vega he had in school if a lady hadn't totaled it for him.
Anyway, I stamped the car w/ black onto white c/s, colored just a tad and added some Twinkling H2O highlights (you probably can't see them here). I used part of the Happy Birthday sign stamp. My river rock clone is virtually identical to SU. I happened to have it, so that's what I used.
The stripe bg, I used a wide stripe stamp (DRS) and the chalk ink (also indistinguishable from river rock color). Then a thin stripe (A. Watkins) w/ coal ink. Added some dots w/ black glaze and white gel. TFL

Wow . . . great job on the case and on this card color challenge! I would not have thought to do this card using these colors but it is amazing and looks fabulous!!! Great thinking!
