Playing around with some gift ideas and they just happened to also meet this months Fan Club challenges! This is an altered metal washer. I can't take credit for this idea I learned about it from my friend "eliotstamps" where she got I'm not sure.
Anyway I went to the local hardware store got some $0.15 washers about the size of a quarter, dabbed alcohol inks on them, layered three coats of UTEE, placed a rhinestone on them randomly, added some black satin cord and made washer necklaces that went over big with DD's junior high friends!
TFL!

It's things like this that make me really want a girl. How fun for your daughter's friends, I do not think my son's friends would like them (even though they are cute). Thanks for sharing!!!

These turned out beautiful Patty. I made some at christmas for my nieces and they loved them so much that they wanted to make their own too. It's such an easy gift to make and they look so pretty. Great job!
