Just a little quick card using a new set I got from CHF. DH asked if I was going to make him a Valentine and this will do for him to look at and hand right back to me and that is just what he did without even looking to see if I signed itÂ…LOL! So five dollar Hallmark cards do not impress this guy at all!
-The sheep is stamped and masked off with a post it note, then I stippled some grey to make his wool look fluffy but it shows up better in real life. The black face didnÂ’t stamp solid do to me not stamping all over the stamp pad. I liked the look of weave from the linen pad.
-The background is just color after color sponged on until I liked it.
-All layers but the black are ink distressed.
-1/2” circle punch cut in half is the tab.
-The heart is cut out and I freehand cut the black border then glued it to the card. A button image is under the heart brad.
-The sentiment is from another CHF alphabet set.

Wonderful card! I have always loved folk art - so I am glad to see a revival of it from the stamp companies. Your coloring and colors are awesome. Great job - TFS

I think that sheep is just adorable, Rox!! Great job withe stippling!!! You husband sounds a bit like mine!! Before I began making cards my husband would say - cards are so expensive - let's just go to the Hallmark store and I'll show you the one I'd give you if I wanted to pay out all that money, and you can do the same.... I guess now that I have my * little hobby * he kinda regrets those days of folly!!!
