Those pictures were taken last year when the office organized a night of ski.
I found some Heidi Grace papers at my local store on Friday and thought they would be perfect for my ski pictures. They were $2 a pop (*gasp!*) but so beautiful that I went ahead and bought them anyway. They have that same sheen that the Shimmery white cardstock has and the snowflakes are flocked!
I also used Friday's scrapbook sketch as a starting point for my design. I rarely cut my pictures with a circle template, but it think it really works here - reminds me of snowflakes whirling around in the wind.
The chipboard flourish is from Fancy Pants Designs and I painted it with acrylic paint and then added a few dots here and there with a silver gel pen. I also used the gel pen to write everybody's names directly on the pictures and added some rub-ons that say "Smile" and "remember". I also used a rub-on that says "wish" and completed the rest ("you were here") with my gel pen to mimick a postcard look.
I finished the page off with a few clear snowflakes (from Heidi Swapp) and rhinestone stickers.
The title was created with Making Memories stickers, and the base cardstock is from the Bazzill Bling collection, so it has the same sheen that the papers have.
I'm happy with the final look of this page. Hope you'll love it, too! TFL!

Great layout - I like the chipboard swirl perfect for a swirling snow effect - and I had no idea you could use the gel pen on a photo - very cool! And the circles really work with the layout - thanks for the note - I appreciate it. LB

Great page! The combination of colors and shimmers is really neat. I especially like the addition of the swirl---all the circles & snowflakes seem to roll off the end of it. TFS!
