I wanted to combine the scrapbook theme challenge SBVC14 (masking) with the layout challenge SBSC127.
The leaves were a necessity to hide my wobbly circles (no circle cutter). They are stamped on different shades of Canson card stock, which has a nice texture, then cut out. They're only partially stuck on so they curl off the page.
I used letter stickers as a mask for the title and the "YUM, I LOVE APPLES" around the journaling circle (used a ranger clear embossing pen). I stamped leaves onto scrap stock and cut out to make a mask for the background leaves & shadows.
I'm not very happy with the center picture...the angle makes it look like dd is picking potatoes, not apples---but the trees were so heavy with giant fruit, there were branches touching the ground. Might have to find another picture for that spot.
For the curious, the journaling says:
"Breezeland Orchards is an apple wonderland---with fruit dripping off the trees and lovely views of crisp New England foliage. Noelle agrees--this is the best pick-your-own orchard."

Cute page! Great job with the challenges. Looks like fun picking apples! I have never picked apples but I have picked more tangerines and oranges than I can count!
TFS.
