To make this card, I first cut a large piece of watercolor paper and stamped the butterfly at the bottom. I embossed it with gold EP. I then scored across the paper at the top of the wings and folded the paper in half. I used papersnips to cut the back portion of the card in the shape of the butterfly. I then watercolored the image and let dry. I then outlined portions of the butterfly with Crystal Effects and poured pearl micro beads over that. To keep the Crystal Effects from drying too quickly, I did one portion of a wing at a time; first the upper left wing, then the lower left wing, moving over to the right I did the same. I let this dry for a couple of hours and then adhered Swarovky pearls to the flowers in the upper wings. I adhered Dazzling Diamonds to the body of the butterfly and used gold glitter on the antennae. I used a thick coating of Crystal Effects for the adhesive for the glitter to get thick texture on the butterfly. I also used Crystal Effects on the little pink leaves scattered all over the butterfly. The card measures 5 x 6 1/2".
This card will make an extraordinary Easter card. I plan on making some for family and close friends.

OH WOW, beautiful! I love butterflies, and I want a place at your table. If this is the place card... then the food and table will be breathe taking.
