I am so excited about these cards! - Today's Try a new technique challenge was to make a split negative card with a twist - use color instead of black and white.
I used this beautiful poinsettia stamp - and used a different embossing powder on each card.
On the purple card I used a two toned Moon glow EP called Angel Wings/Sapphire.
On the cameo/ruby red card I used an EP called Violet twinkle by Judi Kins.
I didn't know what either of them would come out like - having bought them some time ago but never using them (until today!)
The one on the red/cameo card is sparkly and the other looks dark on the dark paper and light on the light paper!
Then I painted bleach on some of the petals on both sides to make them stand out. The bleach lightened each color differently - but I love how it came out. I used a heat gun to speed up the reaction.
I just got the cute flower brads from Target - $1 for a pad of 4 each of 4 different colors.
The 2nd layer under the purple flower was made by spritzing Moon Glow Glitzy spray Desert Moon Purple on Eggplant CS - I made it over a year ago and didn't like it so never used it on anything - but it fit perfectly here!
Both CS are Bazzill textured cards.
They look nicer IRL - the dark sides aren't so dark.
Thank you Karen for this wonderful challenge that I never would have done on my own!
TFL!!

Julia, these are just gorgeous. Your different eps really turned out beautifully. I need to pick up some new colors. I'm inspired by yours. Great sparkle on the left one, but I think I'm partial to the purple and blue.
