This is the cover to the invitations that I'm making for Maggie's 2nd birthday party. We've decided to fill her "Play room" with balloons and just let the kids go wild (they all love balloons and thanks to some suggestions on here, I've checked to make sure that none of the kids have a latex allergy or are afraid of balloons popping etc).
I cut out two pieces of each colour using my Fiskars Shape Cutter. I stamped the front of the invitation with some stamps from "Time Well Spent" and the little flower stamp from "Straight Up Alphabet" which is the set I used for the "You're Invited" title. I used my 1 3/8 in circle cutter and cut a half circle to make the bottom of each balloon and joined them all together with strips of cardstock between each layer.
I decided on hand writing all the invitations as I only have 9 or so to do (no more than 12 anyway) and it seemed a lot easier than printing it from my PC or trying to stamp it!!!!!
Also, between each layer, I've used some Copper cord to act as the strings from each balloon.
The finished product can be better appreciated from the closed invitation in the other photo.
Would love to know what you think and as always, TFL.
