I used the technique to create the "sand" and the "water", using different shades of colour for both. To make all the bits and pieces, I simply used my imagination (which I really didn't know I had - LOL!!!!) and some of my punches. I punched a half circle using my 1 1/4in circle punch, then scalloped the edges to form the umbrella using my 1/4 inch circle punch. The stand of the umbrella is the stem from our FREE set, "Time Well Spent", trimmed to fit.
The beach ball was made using my 1/2 inch circle punch, lines drawn on using by Black marker and coloured using my blender pens and ink pads. And the shells are one of the small leaf stamps from "Time Well Spent" - I thought they looked a little like sea shells. I've added a few dimensionals here and there to give the whole scene a little depth.
Would love to know what you think.

I loved that your mind took the brayered sky technique down to earth and you created the whole beach scene. It's adorable! And the fact that you improvised to make some of the beach scene elements is amazing. I firmly believe that the best ideas come from substituting! Nice work. Let's go to the beach now ; )
