I wanted to make a gift for my dear husband who takes such good care of me and who supports me as I work toward some of my personal dreams. But what to make for a man?!
I found these acrylic note holders at my local dollar store (Dollar Giant) for you Canadians. They are perfect to stamp on as you can see through them and place the image exactly where you want.
Supplies:
-End Diamonds Backgrounder Stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms (available December 1st)
-Midnight Blue StazOn by Tsukineko
-Tag! You're It! Stamp set by Kim Hughes for Cornish Heritage Farms
-acrylic note holder
-Beaded Chain by Creative Imaginations
-EK Success Circle Punches (1 3/4 & 1 1/2)
-silver eyelets
-Crop-a-dile by WR Memory Keepers
-navy satin ribbon
Project Instructions:
1. Remove all stickers and adhesive from the acrylic cube.
2. Lay the End Diamonds Backgrounder rubber side up and ink with Midnight Blue StazOn ink.
3. Press one side of the holder to the stamp, applying even pressure without pressing too hard. Allow to dry. Repeat with the other three sides.
4. Re-ink the image again and stamp onto one of the pieces of paper from the note holder and replace back on the top of the stack.
5. Tie ribbon around the cube like a present to hold the paper in place.
6. Stamp the sentiment, punch the circles, adhere together, punch a hole in the top of the circle and set the silver eyelet with a Crop-a-dile or other setting tool.
7. Cut beaded chain to the appropriate length and thread one end through the front of the bow. Clip ends together.
I also pulled several pieces of plain paper out of the cube and wrote encouraging notes to my hubby and then replaced them randomly throughout the stack. That way, he might just get a little note of love just when he needs it.
