One of my favorite things to do is take a pack of neutral paper to my local scrapbook store and die cut a bunch of boxes and templates from their mondo Accucut Machine.
Supplies:
-Geometric Flowers II Backgrounder Stamp by Cornish Heritage Farms (available December 1st)
-Eclipse Masking Tape by Judikins
-Pearlescent Olive Brilliance Ink by Tsukineko
-Burgundy Stickles by Ranger
-May Arts Cream Picot Ribbon
-small Glue Dots by Scrapbook Adhesives
Project Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of masking paper at least 4 inches wide and 4 inches high with straight edges.
2. The die cut box will be flat when it comes out of the die cut machine. Leaving it flat allows you to work on the surface more easily. I wanted each side of the box to have it's own perfect pattern, which is why I masked off all other areas and just stamped one panel at a time. Go ahead and place your masking paper over the project, leaving one panel exposed.
3. Ink the flower patterned image and stamp it onto the exposed panel. Allow to dry. Gently remove your masking paper and mask a different panel of the box. Stamp and repeat this process until all panels are covered.
4. Apply dots of Stickles to the center of the flowers and allow to dry.
5. Fold all scored seams and adhere box together.
6. Cut ribbon to desired length. Pull one ribbon end through the hole in the side of the box (punch one if necessary) and secure with a glue dot. Repeat with the other side.
