To create the background I used a "sea" sponge. Wet the sponge with water so that it is just slightly damp. Rub sponge on top of a copper metallic pad picking up some of the pigment. Pounce the color onto black paper so that only a little of the paper shows through. Repeat with metallic gold ink pad. Note: If your sponge is too dry and ink will look very spotchy on the paper. If the sponge is too wet hardly any of the metallic copper ink will adhear. When you have it right the ink will appear as if it just flows.
