I had to mull this one over a couple of days. Finally I started to see it and the more I played with the design, the more it reminded me of Spanish tooled leather.
The round medallion is stamped onto red glossy and embossed with the Japanese Lacquer (a red/black mix) ep and cut out. The long centerpiece I embossed with black ep. I applied a little black dye ink to tone the color down. The gold confetti c/s I used a marble cube stamp with mustard and Lighting Black inks then stamped the diamond. The black glossy piece I cuttlebugged. I cut out two hinges of the same piece and attached them with brads. A red rhinestone is in the center of the medallion. I dotted the corners and on the medallion to resembles brads on leather. TFL

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
