I read how to do a fake mother-of-pearl background. I tried to see what kind of paint Lumiere was by looking online. Couldn't find out. I have over 100 bottles of acrylic paint so I decided to try that. The background is a result of sponging acrylic paint with a saran wrap "poof", then a layer of ink, then sponging acrylic paint with a sponge. Then I cuttlebugged 2/3 of the background.

Beautiful! This is a stunning card.
Lumiere is a kind of paint made by Jacquard products. It's got a lovely shimmer to it. It was available from SU in white (it's retired now), but there are a lot of colours available. It's also safe for fabrics and other projects. I just got a bunch of small bottles and have been playing with it. I'm a sucker for sparkles and this stuff is really shimmery. You can find it various places, I just ordered some from Stamp and Scrap Canada, an on-line store.
