Having fun with Christmas cards! I want to be ready early this year! The Christmas Card Challenge is great for helping people like me get ready! Besides, I am really enjoying my new cricut! The snowflakes were made with the cricut and then embossed with a shimmering pearl and popped with dots.
The "ribbon" is actually a very inexpensive piece of paper I got in a packet of paper at Mike's a long time ago. At the time I said, "What on earth am I going to do with that???!!!" So when I decided I had to do another Christmas card, I just cut strips of words off! Each card will therefore be a bit different.
The snowmen were painted and there are stickles and 3d paint on them. I'm sure if you can tell or not.
My favorite part is the black with the white writing and snowflakes. It looks like a crisp winter's night. I sure struggled with what to do on the inside of the card, but I think it turned out really good. IMHA!
And when I was all done, I realized I had not put any embellishments on it! So, being true to my word (Yesterday I said I would put at least one embellishment on each card) I dug out some ribbon for the top and made the little frame pieces and tied it on the "ribbon" with some cord!
The criss cross card instructions can be found in the resource section under Beate's tutorials.
TFL!
