I just love the way you used the canvas with the shadow stamp! I hate to color too and will do most anything to avoid it!

To emily (mom to 3 boys):
I hope I can explain this right. Kissing is when you ink up a large background stamp (make sure it is well inked). Take a clean bold or solid stamp and place it on top of the inked background stamp. Remove the bold/solid stamp, huff to moisten, and stamp onto cardstock. The pattern from the background stamp will be show on your solid stamp.
Graziana is right in explaining the "Kissing" technique...but I have never had great luck with it unless I have 2 inks. Here's how I made the background on this card:
Inked up the background stamp in Almost Amethyst ink. Then I inked up the Canvas bkgrd stamp with Lovely Lilac (only inked a portion of the stamp since I wasn't going to use the entire surface). After inking up the 2 stamps, I took the bkgrd stamp from Bold Basics (the rectangle) and placed it on the Canvas stamp....ink to ink. Press lightly and then carefully lift. (I say carefully, because the inks together act like a suction cup and the first time I did this, I wound up inking my carpet!) Now you are ready to stamp your project. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's actually quite quick. I tried the Amethyst and Lavender Lace together, but there wasn't enough of a contrast...play with your colors and your stamps to see what you can come up with! This is a fun and easy technique.
