I tried many things for ribbon storage and found the gutter works best for me. I also tried many ways to store paper and found that vertical holders lined on shelves in my metal cupboard works for easy viewing and access. I find I love company and hence making the workspace for two (other side of the room has space for two more). I and a girlfriend formed a monthly cardmakers group that shares ideas. We each bring one or two ideas with the supplies for everyone in the group to make the idea. We take turns teaching our card(s). We laugh, eat a sack lunch, make cards for 4 hours, and go home with a stack of neat cards. I can't seem to get enough crafting, so often have friends over to enjoy my room too! Thanks for letting me share!

I love how you did your ribbon! I have saved it to my favs to show my husband! I think I might be going to home depot. Is that the rain gutter stuff or pvc pipe cut in half?

I think the ribbon gutter would work the best for me too! I really like how you have tucked it under the shelf here, that's a great new twist on the idea for me! Better than it taking up all that wall space on it's own. I'm saving this idea...I love your room.

Yes, vinyl rain gutter. It's less than four dollars for 10 foot length. The back side of it lays against the slanted support bracket allowing the gutter to be on a tilt for easy accessibility.

This is a great way to use the gutter! How clever of you to tuck it under the shelf. What really caught my eye were the pictures above the shelf. Did you cross stitch those? I have every issue of the magazine that those patterns were in. I love those children but have never made them.
How fortunate you are to have a room all your own! I have a corner of my family room and I'm pretty happy with it but ahhhhh, to have a door. Now that's bliss!

Wow, two rows of gutter? I'd have to buy more ribbon then....tough job! LOL Yes, the pictures I stitched are counted cross stitch. Did them years ago and still love them. I would like to run some saying or script high on this wall, any ideas out there as to content? It would be just shy of 8 ft. long.

You know I'm just thinking. I might see if there is a way to hang some together with chain and hang a section of pieces from the ceiling against the wall. I am however looking for a section I could hang under a shelf. Love the ideal. Love that it's visable.
