I stamped the main images on bright yellow cardstock with Versamark, then used black embossing powder on them. Next, I bleached the inside of the images with bleach and a small paintbrush. It took a couple of times to achieve the lightness I wanted. Then I painted over the same image (after it had dried) with Versamark from a reinker and a brush and applied clear embossing powder to the image.
The "bee" was printed using a computer printer onto SU confetti white cardstock. I cut the word out and stuck it onto a stamped bee image, which I also had cut out. The "happy" was part of the Happy Birthday stamp from Warmest Regards.
I stamped an additional bee using Versamark onto confetti white, used black embossing powder on it, painted the stripes with watercolor crayons, and then painted Versamark over it and used clear embossing powder on the image, which I then cut out and stuck on the picture.
I sponged yellow color from a watercolor crayon around the edges of the card.
I found myself humming Johnny Cash's "Folsum Prison" while doing this card. Although it would perhaps be a better fit for the ending scene in the original Blues Brothers movie. What do you think?
