Since I wanted to make my sister a 50th birthday card, I thought this would be a good time to try my first sketch challenge. The inside of the card says “…You’re just 29 with 21 years experience!”
I used prismacolor pencils & gamsol for the kitty, then I made a little slit above and below the kitty’s paws so I could thread the floss through. I drew the balloon, colored it and cut it out. It’s popped up on a dimensional. The blue butterfly and little (green) dots at the pink corners are bling from Mike’s $1 bin. I did the front sentiment by creating an oval in Word and then typing in the text using a font named “CK Constitution.” I used the large SU oval punch to cut it out. I had fun making this one.

This card is wonderful! I have always liked the Penny Black kitties, and I love how you threaded the balloon though his paws. I also like how you used little pieces on the frame around Cute Cat to pick up the colors in the designer paper.
